Hilltop House is located in the village of Starbotton on the B6160 between Buckden and Kettlewell, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The village has its own pub, the Fox and Hounds, as well as a choice of other pubs and restaurants within a few miles. The location is ideal for exploring the market towns of Skipton, Leyburn and Hawes as well as the historic sites of Bolton Castle and Middleham Castle, childhood home to Richard III. Wensleydale is noted for its scenery, stone walls and water falls. Aysgarth, Hardraw Force and Cauldron falls are all worth a visit.
